1.1 styling

  1. #1
rite i wanna style the exterior of my 1.1 a bit more cos tbh i dont really like the look of it at the moment.

dont really fancy gettin a vt cos its too much hassle getting all the parts etc.

anyone got any suggestions on wat i can do?
  2. #2
got a spoiler? dimma grill? smoke lights?
  3. #3
yeah got a spoiler need to fit it somehow as i dont have holes in my glass and cant glue it cos dont have a garage to keep it in overnite, meshed my front grill and wanna smoke my lights but havnt got the stuff to do it

i got most of the parts for a vt if you want it. it only needs a front bumper and passenger door trim. delock the doors? smooth the rear? lower it 50mm ftw
  5. #5
yea lower is maybe. whats ya budget mate?
  6. #6
my car looked identical to yours a year and a half ago. Here's mine now fow some ideas:

lower is maybe? what you mean? get a nice set of alloys on there and lower it and then see what you fancy.

    ^^^^ lovely car there ^^^^

scotts sax is legendary, it inspired me no end, hence my black vt front bumper lol.

  10. #10
mine gets lowered on the 18th yey!
  11. #11
dunno but budget, jus wanna do some cheap and cheerful mods.

is it easy to fit the vt front bumper? also do u have to declare it or will they let u off on that? (not that insurance is a prob)

cant afford gettin rear smoother although id love to.

also wanna lower but everywhere is costin a fortune to do it for me.
  12. #12
It's just a straight swap witht he bumpers and no you wont need to tell your insurance .
  13. #13
best thing i did to my 1.1 was chuck a 16v under the bonnet.

    in seriousness though.

    Decide what look you want.

If you likeg going quick, then theres no point making a vtr/s replica because you'll look stupid.

just do subtle modifications and save the cash for a 1.4 or a 1.6 down the line
  14. #14
Subtle styling ftw. Just lower it, smoke headlights and get some smoked jewels for the rear. Scott's sax is a brilliant example
  15. #15
yeah always admired his sax its a credit to this site.

sweet thats its jus a straight swap. if i put a rear and front vt bumper on (same colour code) do u think it would look ok or shite?
  16. #16
straigh swap but you would need to bolt it in tight to pull in the sides as they are supposed to have arches resting on them
  17. #17
Ditch the lexus lights in your sig?
  18. #18
This is what mine used to look like.
  19. #19
    are they 14 inch wheels?
  20. #20
for the vt bumpers apparently you need to cut the brackets down or something...would look good
