exhaust question.

i have a janspeed backbox and a magnex decat cat is under the car and i have the standard centre section, it sound ok but stil isnt very loud even with my induction kit. its not quiet but i would like a little more noise if possible. im lookin at replacing the centre section but i dont want to do this and it bee extremely loud. i was considering trying to get a vts centre section as im wondering it has a bigger bore, than my standard 1.4 one, would i see an improvement in noise or not really noticeable?

wouldn't see a difference tbh mate.

best bet is a new centre section.

what just another sta dard centre section as i do have a supersprint which i fitted to the janspeed but it was too loud if u no wat i mean i want the best of both worlds not oo loud and not too quiet when i used the supersprint it was way too loud and then wen i used the standard it was far too quiet. i do think i need a silencer of some sort in the centre. perhaps my centre section could be clogged up with carbon deposits thus making it quieter? lol should i replace it anyway or do u really think its pointless?

perhaps i need a better backbox

could fit the centre section, then have a small mid box made and fitted, would baffle the sound abit, but not to much.

i think you can get a supersprint centre section mate with a silencer built in i swear ive seen one before. have a look around.

yeah and also i found i actually lost power or more like it felt i did with my supersprint fitted as the bore is alot bigger than standard.even though my cars only a 1,4 i shall have a look out for that supersprint one.

do you want the noise to be loud so people can hear you from, quite a distance? if so then a new exhaust system is needed me thinks.

If its just more grunt when getting to higher speeds...i dont know what to reccomend tbh

i have a scorpion full system (which i got from Leckie, with the help of fitting from Leeroy and Mark51) and its a nice sound when going up the gears etc
