exhaust too big

   My car has a 5inch backbox fitted to it.( I bought it like that). to tell u the truth it is fookin loud, too loud. I was wondering will i notice much of a difference if i opt for a full system over just the backbox???

   yes mate. if its loud now it will be unbearable if you get a full exhaust system!! 5inchs is far too big for a saxo in my oppinion.

   As for a full system, it all depends on what make exhaust system, as Ashley exhaust suppose to be loud, and where as magnex ive heard aint so loud

   5 inch, woah, lol. Get rid of the backbox for definatly and go for a full cat back system.

   it really does take the piss if u know what i mean and it makes this sort of bubblin noise as the revs are dropping .it sounds like a superbike. yeah m8 to tell you the truth it looks pish. But i not really driving it till its a finishd project. just wondering what sort of a diffenece a performance exhaust would make over that stupid big pipe.

   If its just a back box it has on then it wouldnt have done anything performance wise really. A performance exhaust system.....well.....depends what you get, though it isnt going to be a great deal no matter what you do. 5 bhp tops probably.

    About 3 / 3.5inch for the back box
    
    IMO any thing bigger and it looks silly on small cars .

    mine is 4" dia and i think it looks fine, its stainless and rolled in... 5 inch is stupid on anything other than a scooby or an evo

    better off with a system with a smaller backbox, looks right gay over 3-3.5, sounds stupid an all. get a magnex cat back or something.
