Supersprint race section

   My supersprint arrived today. But had a few problems fitting it.
   
   I'm ok with cars like, just when trying to mate the exhaust at the manifold, the wire ring was stopping it get close enough for the springs and bolts to compress enough to get it back together.
   
   For all the people with the race section on (a vtr by the way) did you use the standard bolts, springs and wire ring? Which I will need to get from Citroen anyway if I do. Or do you need to buy a thinner wire ring and longer bolts?

   Mine didn't fit so I wrapped it in a bit of wire mesh, loads of exhaust paste and then attached it.
   
   You wont get the wire ring/gasket to fit.

   Did you use longer bolts at all?
   
   I thought that was the case though. Well I have whats left of the wire mesh that I can use and plent of exhaust paste lol

   nope used standard bolts, good luck mate make sure you do it up hella tight and you'll be fine like.

   Will be tomorrow now like. A lift to work thankfully. I'm never working on my cars during the week again!
   
   Did you use some vice grips or anything like that to help draw them closer together?

   if u do want longer blots 205 ones are slightly longer local kwik fit guy probs give you some aswell on the sneak, i got some wen i was re fitting the cat, unfortunately the springs were shorter so had to use orignal spring n new bolts as i didnt need any extra length , job was a gud em

   Are the 205 bolts a perfect fit for the mani and centre section?
   
   How much longer are we talking about? Although when fitting the centre section every mm counts

   u prob have between 3-7mm extra hope this helps
   
   edit and yes the are a prefect fit altho mine was mani to CAT cant see there been a difference

    like i said have a quite word in kwik fit sure one of the lads will sort you out with both bits just give him two quid will get him a sarni or something at bait, its no skin of his nose giving stuff out
