wiring loom trouble!!!

   i have just bought a 106 gti engine to go in my saxo vtr. i have a 3pin ecu on my car at the moment but the 106 gti engine has a single pin ecu!!!
   do i just need to swop the engine bay loom for a vts loom with a 3 pin ecu??

   I think you will need to use a single plug VTS loom, as where the engine loom connects to the main car loom, the VTS uses one plug, whereas the gti uses 2 plugs.
   
   You can re-wire them but is a pain, and takes time to do.
   I bought a single plug VTS engine loom off a breakers yard in good condition for £30 delivered - is prob best for you to do.

   could i use the 106 gti ecu because that is single pin and unlocked??

   so your car is 3 plug and you have a single plug 106 gti loom and ecu ?
   
   if so then youll need a 3 plug vts loom and 3 plug ecu.
   
   what year is the gti loom that youve got?

   the 106 gti engine is all out of a 1998 car if tht helps....

   you'll need a 3 plug loom there was one on ebay the other day should still be on there
   
   if you want to sell the 98 gti loom then pm me as i need one

    just been pulled up for my french plates and being lowered and everything got 7 days to get it all insured......shittin it bout doin this engine change now!!!!!
