Depend how many point your harnesses are tbh mate. But they bolt to existing seat belt mounts in the front and in the rear. Piece of piss

Not really sure about the pretensioners... I just pulled my wires out cus my light was on anyway! Lol

Ive got 4 points in mine, ive had em a week and im already sick of em! My standard seat belts are going back in tonight!

Dont mount them like half the people on here.

    You need:

    2 Spreader plates
Decent bolts with a high shear stress and tensile rating.
    Or eyelets (best by far)

Dont mount them to the subframe, if the frame fails (because people use the existing bolts) then the harness fails and you go flying.

So always mount them to the chassis of the car.

Use the outer O.E holes that is to your right when your sitting in the driver seat with the bolts or better still, eyelets.

Also use the middle existing hole with an eyelet that is under your year bench.

After this you need to mount your seat in the position you want it. Dont use a sidemounted seat with sidemounts on a base mounted subframe. Defeats the whole object of safety.

Then attach the harnesses to the O.E holes and eyelets.

Now place your 2nd shoulder strap in the seat and get it to go straight down and mark a hole. Then drill lol.

Use an FIA spreader plate and get someone to hold the plate under the car while you screw the eyelet in. You could tack weld it in place too.

Next mirror the drivers side lapstrap over to the handbrake side and do the same as your shoulder strap, mark and drill and use a spreader plate.

All this is assuming you have 4 point harnesses lol.

If your planning on using it for as an every day car i would advise you NOT to use harnesses! They are a pain in the arse!!! Trust me!
They are a nightmare to get into and out of, they hurt if your collar bones if you do em up properly, you cant reach your radio or heaters and they break your neck in a crash, unless you have a cage that is!

So all in all i think theyre great

when i get my harnesses in the post soon il be fitting them whilst still keeping hte standard seat belts in .

so passengers can choose if they want to be in a harness or in a normal seat belt. plus that way the car will still pass its mot .

remember bucket seats and harnesses are a so called safty addition to your car so expect your insurance to go up a little.if you dont tell them and you crash your insurance will be void and you will get nothing what so ever off the accident.same goes with proper roll cages insurance companies see them as why would the person need a roll cage? only one reason (that the insurance companies see) and that is the car owner wishes to drive a little fast not because he/she wishes to feel safer.

just thought id let you know that stuff okies

Buckets with side mounts bolted straight to the floor! And then i was going to get 3 point harnesses! the back bolted to where the seats belts bolted to on the back bench and the sides bolted to the side mounts! That should be ok shouldnt it? And i was thinking wiring up a circuit so as the light goes out! Then everything will be fine passing a MOT wont it?
