Porting the 'zaust manafold

Quick one, i can remember from somewhere tidying up the standard manafold with a file and sandpaper.

Is there any point or should i just wait for till i get a 4-2-1?

wait till you get a 4-2-1

    as said above mate.

no point really, won't notice anything, it wont add any more value to it, so just wait till you get the 4-2-1.

I heard this can be very good coupled with a ported and polished cylinder head you can see some steady gains by opening the manifold ports and smoothing them off.

But as stated not much point unless you have a 4 branch and plant to get the head work done

if you start with a decent SS manifold rather than a cast one then there will be hopefully less work to do to match the ports and neaten everything up.. perhaps not with a raceland though lol as the quality is poorer than the priceir option.

Worth doing a bit of research on the subject before attacking with a dremel or hand held file. Its important to keep the gas speed high so opening up the ports isn't always the way to go

with regards to the manifold itself, what you need to look for is where the pieces are welded together. Some weld will penetrate inside the manifold and this needs to be taken down to improve flow...
