Neons in Boot

   Iv just installed a fake floor in my saxo boot. Im wishing to install 2 neons at either side of my sub connected to the existing light and the switch for the boot has any one got any advice on how to do it.

   Earth the neons to the rear bench bolts. 2 either side
   
   And wire the positive to the boot light switch. so as boot opens the come on with the factory boot light

   which cable should i wire to in the boot light switch and how can i stop the factory light from coming on

   Im pretty sure its the orange wire that has the positive voltage. Theres only 2 wires there neway. If u want to stop the boot light comming on take the blub out of the holder. Or u could always put a switch just before the light, then have your new lights spliced before the switch. This will allow the current to run throgh and you then have the option to turn the boot light off.

   Positive wire should go the boot light switch - the black plastic sticky out bit that pushes in and out or wire it tothe light unit itself as that recives the power once the switch is activated
   
   and to stop the factory light just take the bulb out.
   
   If you take the whole light unit out though youll be left with a hole there so could smooth it over with fibreglass/filler or carpet the thing

   Good luck, oddest thing you may get is wiring it back to front and the lights come on when you close the boot rather than open it lmao quick swap round fixes it

    why dont you just run the neons of the powercable to the amp and have a switch, to turn off the boot light just remove the bulb

    my mate drilled 20 holes into his MDF so the neons shine through like skylights... took him ages to get it just right though... 2 days after a bus rear ended him and recieved £5000 compensation and bought a mk4 GTI golf

    i would go with blue if you want it to work of the boot light if you wire the pos from the neon to the pos on the light and the neg to the neg on the light shud work i thin just try a few things til your happy worstt you can do is blow a fuse

    id go leds bit depend if you want a glow or just light if you want a glow id go neons
