hi guys wondering if you can help, ive got a 1.4 8v 1999
i have put a second hand engine in a car, and the new engine had over sized injectors so i had to change the head over, but now i have got a wearing noise at roughly 1500 rpm sound like it is coming from the cambelt. I have replaced cambelt, water pump and the tensioner still making the same noise. Removed the fan felt to check if it was the alternator bearings but noise still there with fan belt removed .the noise is coming from the belt, the tension of the belt is spot on. Oil level fine, oil pressure is ok.
