   Full exhaust system and induction is a start, but it gets expensive beyond that.

   cant see engine swop being cheap? as above exhause system, decat, manifold, induction kit. start as you mean to on!

   Manifold and full system would be best startng point, then think about an enclosed induction kit, after this it gets expensive, cams, vtr head, re-map etc etc ....
   
   Alot cheaper to put a Vts engine in

   Also, that bonnet will weigh loads! So that won't help...

    Manifold, exhaust, decent enclosed filter.. prob looking at a touch over £500 for that.

    buy my vtr as a scrap car but still runs and put the vtr engine in your furio

    round a track.. I'd say suspension.. a good handling car will keep the speed up therefore you don't need to increase bhp as much.
    
    tis a crying shame to leave any engine standard though so look at induction. manifold, and a group N / proper performance exhaust
