Gear Stick Link/Ball Joint Type Thing?

   i've noticed that my car is struggling to go into 1st gear and sometimes 2nd. I'm having to sometimes pull away from about 5mph in 2nd gear. Also theres a fair amount of play in the gear stick. Could this be the clutch and/or gearbox linkages? :-/ cheers

   could be the gearbox linkages if u want ben can bring it up to mine and me dad will have a look for u if u want.

   Try and get it up on ramps and see if the 3 linkage rods have major play in them, if they do, replace em. If not check to see if the roll pin is fudged

   Right well VTRacers dad had a look and we found that the ball joint link from the gear stick is very loose. and looks fudged tbh.
   
   Any1 know how easy it is to change?

   Theres an immense amount of movemtn in that 1st joint. the other ones didn't seem half as bad. that normal?

   Hi thats interesting cos mine has a shite load of play and i find it hard to get in 1st and i do the same, slug away in 2nd which is really annoying. I had a look under the car and it all moves alot.
   
   Does anyone know if it is a bad linkage how much it will cost to replace and also it it a big job?
