raceland manifolds

im looking into buying a new manifold....
now i know that racelands are the cheap manifolds and the quality sits below supersprints etc

but what is the quality of a raceland manifold actually like
    performance difference?? and sound difference??

    thanx

personally i thort the quailty of mine was really good all the welds where spot on its just its made of a thinner steel than the others

Might be a slight lag in performance; thinner metal = slightly more heat in the engine bay. What type of saxo do you have? If its a Mk2, I would just opt to pay a little bit more and get a better one that fits without having to change the oil filter etc. Mines at the garage at the mo, getting a piper 4-1 fitted, although there having trouble getting the screws out from the manifold, there a bit rusty.

if i was gonna spend alot of money on one, id get the piper or gmc.

raceland is good for the cash tho, but more hassle with fitting..

is the oil filter change the only difference when fitting a raceland manifold to a supersprint????

think it depends on waht you got? vtr i think you have to but vts you dont

I got one on my vtr. no problem with build quality in my opinion. Its all heat wrapped up and had good gains from it.

Took awhile to fit. Hard to get the bolts in underneath. And just have to run the sensor down back of your engine but thats minor. Takes 2 minutes.

I have seen a few stainless racland manifolds rusted. But not as many as I have seen cracked.
