For some reason the engine in my car every now and again will not start and sometimes you can hear a clicking/tapping noise.
I took it to the garage to get it booked in, when i went to leave it wouldn't start, i got one of the mechanics over to have a look and he heard the noise and he said it's the 'main brain', i guess he means ECU?
He said i need to go to an auto electrician because they haven't got the equipment.
Another thing i noticed is if i hold the key trying to start it, if i turn the lights on it starts and i know when it's not going to start as the CD player doesn't light up.
There's no power or any struggling at all when i try to start it and the interior lights goes very dim when i turn the key.
Any idea what the problem is and any idea on price.
