Really wish they could make it more clearer.... or I had more humane powers to decipher that description!

    Its to fit a 2001 MK2 VTR.

    Thanks.

    Hmm... Neither?
Try Kam Racing mate... Alot better!!

kam racing only do the eibach, which I would get if someone could enlighten me:

Will a saxo down 50mm give me no end of grief on speed bumps? Theres a few around my way so would rather not have the hassle if its going to be a pain in the behind.

    CHeers for the help though

No, it won't... Just take it easy, like you would with 40mm...

answered you in other thread 'lowering?'

    Thanks for the info.

Now to decide whether its 40 or 50....

Will have to get uprated shocks/dampers at some point anyway. Decisions decisions.

Ill save money for now though.....

but.... anyone got an answer to my original question?

If your going with the Koni option then it is the second choice mate. http://www.potn.co.uk/p1358150.htm
It took me a while to work it out but a quick call to the supplier confirmed it. These springs will take you down to 35mm at the front though mate. You need to have a look at the bold print at the bottom of the page.

Its getting annoying how everyone insists that people to go for Bilstein setup's. Its down to the individuals requirements, the ride height they are after and finally their budget. There is no doubt that Bilstein are an excellent setup but they are out of some peoples price range. Equally Kam Racing is an excellent place for car parts, however there are certain makes you cant buy from them which reduces your choice. If you want to follow the sheep or have a hefty bank account then Bilstein all the way mate

    baaaaaaahhhhhhhh...

Firstly, Thanks both TimW and Saxoboy.

TimW: thats helped a lot, thankyou. As you say its all about the induvidual and as Im a relatively poor student, I think it would have to be konis unless I can pick the eibach springs anywhere else for cheaper than RRP.

I realise they will go down 35mm rather than the 40 I stated. Would you think (with this set up) those springs and the torsion bar down 40mm will look ok?

Not after uber handling, just want a decent drop from standard, on a budget. The (standard) height of my car is the most detestable point of my car at this moment in time... hence why I'd like to alter it.

    Continued advice would be appreciated

Check out my progress thread mate

One of the reasons i know a bit about the Koni's is i brought a kit for my car. There is also an explanation as to why i chose them above the Bilstein and some of the other makes. I have only done the back shocks and torsion bars at the moment. Myself and a mate raised the back from 55mm to 45mm and there is not much difference in it to be honest, it still looks good. Hopefully i am going to get the front sorted this Saturday and it will be raised to 35mm. Most people tend to go a touch lower at the back to level the car out. The only trouble is the pictures of my car in the progress thread is at its 'old' height. As i said above the back doesnt look much different from how it is in the old pictures.
