Neon lights

Just wondered if any1 knew if orange neon lights were illegal or legal.

Reason is that blue, red, green etc.. are used by emergency service vehicles however orange isnt

Any 1 know about this ?

yeah thats what I had thought

just was hoping there was a gap in the law

Such as if it was certain colours that were illegal but u could still have white or orange or something

Or if it was the glow of neon that was illegal and would this mean that it was only neon lights that were illegal by law, but L.E.D ones might still be legal ?

I think (don't be suprised if i'm wrong) neons are illegal while you're moving. If you're parked up in a car park etc you can have them on but they're definitely not legal whilst travelling...

Who wants neons anyway... Very 1990's and even then i thought 90% of cars looked pap with them on

there is a loophole which basicaly means if you cant see the tube then its legal

right ne reason to show off my old car!
i had a full under neon car kit!!! and it was amazing!!!!!!
and as the tubes could not be seen and it was onlya glow i was fine, i asked a friends dad who is a traffic policeman! and said no tubes and u should be fine

cool a thought there must be a loophole somewhere

I think ill ask a traffic cop next time a see one doing bugga all

Ano there out of date now and most people dont like the look but there so cheap to get a hold of now that it might be worth fitting them and seeing how they look

I just T-cut me badges which was well cheap and they look ace

I know why people h8 stuff like lexarse lights and neons but tbh they liked them 5-10years ago b4 chavs could afford them lol

lol that actually looks quite good,

my cars dark green and I'm in process of smoking different parts and going for the green and black look but no1 can see the car at night

had two near misses on roundabouts in the last week alone

so thought if I could find neons that were LEGAL I would stand out more in the dark

you sound like a chav

roundabouts arent obsticles.
Neons are illegal. And only look good on some cars.

See VTRacers motor for example. Not on a standard car riding high.

lol am not a chav at all m8 but a can see why u wud think it am actually a student at uni

My car does look like a chav car though but Ive also done the tasteful modding route on a mk4 astra sxi before a bought this

On the roundabouts a meant me going around them slowly at night and cars usually people carriers entering the roundabout without seeing me and almost taking me out

as I am actually a very good driver and you have clearly misinterpreted what I have said about near misses at roundabouts

I know how to control a motor car and stopped speeding the day I got my first 3 points as anymore and I would loose my license

My car does look chav 1. because it is a citroen saxo 2. because it has a aftermarket exhaust.

I dont know you but the car you posted pics of is a complete chav car so it seems hipocritical of you to comment
