for people with Raceland manifold on mk2

    Right a little question i got my M.O.T coming up soon and i am running a 4-2-1 raceland manifold with a supersprint centre section and a piper backbox, on my mk2 saxo vtr was just wondering what you lot do when your M.O.T comes?

    Coz as you know the cat in the manifold and to put it all back you got to convert the oil filter back etc!

    So would it work if i got hold of a mk1 cat and back box and put that one with my manifold?

    2 of my mates got a cat i can use so just have to try it i quess!

    i recon thats the most sensible answer mate. the MK1 cat itself is only short mind so you'll need the MK1 exhaust from the cat back to make it fit.

    Thats the only problem with the breather mod's! Although in saying that, my m8 put his civic through with a straight through from the manifold and he had no problems (the car did orginally have a cat), so would it be worth getting the co2 checked out before hand and trying to blak it?

    Garage always say oh there so cat but then i remind em its in the manifold and they go ok then ignore it.

    hoping i can do the same when i get a raceland manifold lol

    just get a mk1 exhaust from the manifold back and it'll include the cat. Cheap as chips too

    if your not bothered about retesting it, see if they'll pass it without first

    I swear a re-test is free anyway cos you pay lets say £45 for an MOT if it fails and you take it back then next day it should be a free re-test

    Well im sure it was from where i took my old car

    yeah u do they give you like a week or sumthing to sort out the problem n as long a you sort it out within that time u get a re-test for free

    do the obvious thing and ask him outright if hell swing you through the emissions test if you give him an extra tenner.

    works everyime for me

    Just ask em to put ya through emmisions the tester will be very happy to take 10-20 quid for doing fook all
