ABS and a bias valve?? how?

  1. #1
is there a definitive way to fit a brake bias (or hydraulic handbrake) valve and keep the abs on my car? I looked through loads of threads and there are people saying that you need to keep the 2 rear lines separate. Then there are suggestions of running 2 bias valves even a mention of a valve with 2 ins and 2 outputs but i cant find one anywhere.
I am sure loads of people must have this sorted and I am just looking in the wrong places

    any help?

Demon tweaks new catalogue arrived today and it has a twin in and out valve in!! its £225 as opposed to the standard £65 and the handbrake version is £635 instead of £125 thats wank!!!!!!!

Simple way is take the ABS off your car. If your doing the sort of driving that requires a hydraulic hand brake and adjustable bias the stock ABS system will just be rubbish for you.

If you just want a hydraulic hand brake why not just use two separate hand brake cylinders one for each side?

Don’t even consider using two separate bias valves.

PS dont forget if its a road car you have to retain a cable operation hand brake or your car will not be road legal.

the reasons for the bias valve and handbrake are that I have fitted the brembo 406 calipers and the car seems to nose dive a bit under hard braking (need more to the back??) along with my hand brake feeling good but zero rear brake bite

also my car is becoming more and more of a track car with every purchase but I do love to rag it on the road and I like the ABS

how would i fit a two master cylinders to the handbrake??

    cheers for the response

does it have a load sensing valve if it has you can adjust rear bias by tighteng the screw, if not ????????????

As said if thats all your doing and you have a load sensing valve on the back just adjust it. If not your car has ebd or whatever they call it and it will sort the brakes out it self. Your car will dive more now as it has more brake power.

You put two cylinders on your hand brake the same way you put one but you put two side by side. if you have two of the same cylinders and mount them in the same place the cars wheels will lock at about the same time. Though if your car has ebd it may not like it. I have never used such a hand brake on a late model Saxo
