The rear ARB off of a 106 GTI is a decent upgrade, as it's 24mm. I believe the VTS one is 22mm. Maybe 21mm? Not 100%... But the 106 GTI rear ARB is definately 24mm.

EDIT: Torsion bars are very expensive to upgrade, as you cannot take them off a different car... But the upgraded ones will fit with no issues, as they are designed to do so...

What else do you need to know???
  7. #7
Why are you wanting to change the ARB?
    Whats your current setup?

iv got avo rear shocks eibach front spring an avo front inserts the front is all polybushed the backs lowered about 50mm an the front 30mm from what u lot have said i deffo need to fit a 24mm one off a gti will it make alot of difference to the way the car handles on the track

you get 19mm and 22mm in vt* models.

fitting stiffer t-bars needs matched springs on the front.

so what springs would i need for the front can u guys give me an idea of what set ups u running an how well they work i dont use the car much on the road just track days an a few quater mile sprints
  11. #11

22mm on VTS as standard, just took mine out today (states 22mm on Citroen Parts programme too)

Upgraded mine for the 24mm 106 one, fairly reasonably priced aswel compared to what i was expecting

i never knew the 106 one was bigger than the vts, ill be swapping one over tomorrow

Bit sketchy, Citroen cutting corners and chucking whatever bars are available into the car, rather than the proper spec ones perhaps?

apparentley you can get a 25mm anti roll bar for a vts. not too sure tho...

    Why's that, then?
I took a damaged one out of my current axle and replaced it with one from my old axle(both gti)
Is it gonna fall out or something?

you can get custom ones to silly sizes
    no point really though

25.4 is the biggest that would fit in a saxo, hence the reason the group A ones are that size, apparentlly it makes a big difference, stops the lift off oversteer problem that so many saxo's and gti's end up being wrote off because of. i had a 24mm in my old vtr and i could feel the difference when taking corners hard.

Lift off over steer is not a problem if you know how to use it properly.

Used properly it can be an aid for faster cornering.
