I think it is a custom one.
I am mainly looking for noise, i want a nice racey tone when accelerating, but a nice deep tone if i rev it up.

its custom but they make it when you tell them your car details, so it hasnt already been made.
dunno if that makes any difference.

    cheers

most exhausts will give you a nice deep note.

that is very very cheap tbh mate.

personally i would look at a second hand back box - cheaper and you can ask the seller questions about it and see pictures of it on a car.

but i cant find any around here, they are all too expensive or too far away.

What do you think to it though?

and what size do you think will look the best on a 1.0 litre saxo?
also does the size of the tail pipe make any difference in sound?
  8. #8
think a nice 3" inwardly rolled would be nice.

size of the tip won't make a noticeable difference on sound.

go for it if you think thats what you want.

I wouldn't personally but if your not bothered about anything but sound and a nice look to it then i don't see why not.

at the end of the day, if it does everything you want then its a bargain, if it doesn't then its not the end of the world, you could always sell it on.

Tbh m8 it looks like one of these cheap universal back box's u'd be better off buying a proper saxo back box for your model that has the correct mounting point alredy welded on then it becomes a easy direct replacement

but the seller does say its made to my specification.
so wudnt this mean that they will make it for a saxo?
  11. #11
do you think the 3" version, or the 4.5" version would be best?
  12. #12
    3......
  13. #13
    check his feedback mate

lots of good ones, but even good ones say they have trouble fitting.

he seems an idiot with his comments on feedback
  14. #14
the 3" wouldnt make me look like a chav would it? hope not
  15. #15
not half as much as the 4.5"
  16. #16

bit hard to see from that crappy pic, its a 3" backbox in my old 1.1i
  17. #17
would it hang in the same place as my original exhaust?
  18. #18
I would say no it wouldn't make you look like a chav but it all comes down to personal opinion... I agree with what has been said above, you would be best off getting an off the shelf back box rather than a custom, or if you're going for a custom one then go to a custom exhaust maker and have it made on your car. I've bought things off ebay before that are custom made for cars but are a crap fit.

what is the average price of one that you can get made on your car?

wont it be alot more expensive than this one?

would it be that much different in sound?
  20. #20
powerflow will make a backbox for you and custom fit it for about £170 + VAT

My old 1.1 backbox cost £135
  21. #21
the only problem is that i dont have that much money.

what would you recommend for around £50 nt reli much more - cant afford it lol
  22. #22
If you wont a deep sound, the Piper 4" slash cut backboxes are deep, well mine sure is

but i think there quite expensive
  23. #23
i wouldn't rush into it mate.

A nice second hand one will turn up soon enough

r u actually selling it m8, or have you already sold it?

if ur sellin, how much are u looming for?
  28. #28
    Better off asking VTR_Craig
  29. #29
he says e'll had an additional mounting kit for £15 which means it will have the brackets welded on which will attach it to your rubber mountings which the back box hangs from if not you'll need to pay a garage to weld them on in my opinion my for the extra £15 you'd be spending you could get a decent back box for £40- £50 with the correct hangers alredy on
  30. #30
i'd pm VTR_Craig cus form what iv heard Peco box's are quiet reputable m8
