running a bit hot, vtr mk1, any ideas?

   is there any specific way i have to bleed coolant system lads? my vtrs running a bit hot and just wondered if there was any clues on why? checked basic stuff. thermostat, fans working all basics. cheers. j

   mine alwasy runs at about 3/4s up.. havent had a prob so far touch wood. some one did mention about the head gasket. not 100% sure tho..

   if its hotter than it was before then it could be a couple of things. you losing coolant?
   
   it may be the thermostat on its way out. kinda not opening properly.
   
   if the water has been in the rad for a long while then it may be worth just draining the system and refilling it again will cleanwater & antifreeze. both the thermostst or a bit of antifreeze wont cost you much at all!

   my Mk1 always runs a bit hot, over half way fan kicks in alot,
   
   buuh its always fine, hence why they changed to bigger rads in the newer saxo's

   if you havent got any obv reasons for its running a tad hot look at what youve done to it, in the past ive none of a un-wrapped s/s manifold heating up the bay and running the wrong plugs ive heard of also can play in it ?
