have seen a few posts about this but none seem to give much information. was just woundering if anyone had any detailed pictures or information on how to put a vts radiator into a vtr?

its dead easy you just need to shorten the bottom hose as the "s" rad is wider

Why would you want to do that? Surely the VTR cooling is more than adequate anyway?

easy to do.
as said shorten hose or get a set of s hoses.
top hose should be ok irc.. although may need lengthening.

Plus most VTR/1.4 rads are too small and do a shite job. Im gonna fit a GTi one asap.

The later Vtr (01+ 98bhper) came with a larger rad as standard!

i have the 1999 vtr, as said above want to improve the cooling.

I fitted the larger rad to my R reg VTR (90bhp) a few years ago. I changed the fan set up to a twin jobbie and the lower rad hose for a VTS one. If you chop the standard longer bottom hose it will be harder to refit as you won't have the flared section (the wider bit that fits onto the rad fitting).
