   No all backboxes arent universal, and those that are are crap and a arse to fit.

   I suppose all back boxes are universal to a certain extent. In that you can re weld different hangers, and use reducers etc, but your better off with a good quality one that will marry up to your centre section and rubber hangers etc...

   when i got my direct fit Peco back box taken off and changed for a direct fit scorpion back box. i sold the peco to a guy with a rover tomcat. he worked for an exhaust fitting company and he said pretty much any backbox can be modified to fit on to a different car.

   Yeah just wondred really think i am going to either get a omp 3 stage kit for £233 or a magnex backbox and work my way back to the manifold

   go with piper bacbox, i heard them and very nice sound, supersprint centre section.

    Watever you do dont get a universal, you buy cheap you buy twice, there a bugger to fit yourself and most garages wont touch them
