rear light clusters.!

    hiya can any one please tell me where i can get a set of lights as seen in the picture above, ive seen them on loads of 106's and was really jealous. i nearly had a little accident in my pants when i saw them on here. or if anyone wants to sell them if they have them ive got cash waiting.....

    you have to make em yourself mate. Just need to get sopme ultra clear lights off ebay, the clear ones with the two red block on the lower half, and then use red tinting spray to colour the whole half red

    really, the ones in the photo look like they are manufactured.? i could be wrong.

    Nah theyre deffo done like that mate. The M3 stlyee ones were only ever made for the 106 all sets of those are custom.


    Ive made similar ones, just used black instead of red tint spray;

    cool ill give it a go, then why not, any chance of a walk through on how to do it.? what paints to use etc etc.? i know its a bit cheeky but dont want to cock it up

    No probs mate. All you need is a can of red/black tint spray from halfords or your local motorfactors and some masking tape.

    You just mask off the area you want to stay clear with masking tape, and then spray on the tint with very very light and even coats. They take like 5 minutes to be touch dry. keep applying very light coats till the tint levels at however dark you wantr it to be. I think i did between 15-20 coats.


    If you dont do very light even coats it will look shit, especially when you break and the light shines through the uneven spray. Easy job if you take your time

    oh youve done it on the outside, any way "one" could take the rear cluster apart to spray it that way.???? for car wash sake etc.

    Not that i know of mate, as the interior is segmented into chambers so youd have lines where the chambers end and the tint cant attach to.


    The tint spray will never come off the lights if you spray the outside unless you wash your car with white spirit or paintbrush cleaner. I polish mine to make them shiny and the paint doesnt come off
