    hi everyone my mate seems to think adding a new 4 inch box on his exhaust and keeping the original piping gives him extra bhp, i find that quite hard to believe. can someone put him straight for me? same thing goes with his new tiny little non forced induction k&n air filter, do these add any more then half a bhp? thanks! rep given to ppl who insult my mate lol

    Backboxes alone don't add bhp, if anything they probably reduce it. tell him he's a twat

    full systems exhaust give bhp, K&n won't add a couple of maybe 1bhp or 0bhp, a proper enclosed will give you 1 or 2 maybe.

    Universal back boxes and filter do fook all for performance, other than make it sound as if its going fast. Tell him hes a cock sucker!

    His air-filter is more for noise, it wont be adding any bhp i'd imagine, probaby taking some off as someone said, sucking in all the hot air from engine.

    So your 'mate' is another one of these silly chavs who think that an induction kit will make their car go like shit off a shovel. I have a cat back powerflow system on my car and even with that there is very little performance gain, so a shitty 4" back box on rustly old VTR piping will do sod all!
    Almost as bad as a boy round my end who thinks he is cool because he put one of those shiney crome tail pipe covers on his corsa's standard exhuast haha.

    lol yer, hes one of them guys, thinks he a bad boy when he ain't, he takes chav taste and trys to mix it to style but it really ain't stylish at all just looks really chavy and got no taste lol, theres more things she does as well but thats the one that annoys me the most atm lol, if anyone has something like his they need to prove wrong then keep posting i wanna know what else people say lol!!

    For one m8, he never said 3 or 4! I think what he is meaning is that the K&N draws in warm air coming of the engine where as the inclosed induction kits are heat protected, thus drawing in cold helps the car run better!

    Back box will loose BHP for certain and will probably use more go go juice.

    Tell him the only reason use for a big back box is so his mum can sit on the tail pipe
