what is the difference between a saxo vtr and vts, silly but i dont know. which is better 2 get

VTS is 16 valve, VTR is 8 valve, VTS is the fastest but its a group 14 insurance. So if you can afford the insurance get a VTS but otherwise get a VTR because they're only a group 7 insurance.

VT-R reliable! 8v engine is hard as nails!
VT-S Speed, alot quicker, also VT-S spunk loads a £££ on insurance! VT-R really saves u £££ on insurance.... job done....

yeah vts is more powerful but more to insure!vtr still quite quick but alot cheaper to insure!

    VTR (mark1) 90bhp, 1.6 8v,Group 7 Insurance

    VTR (mark2) 98bhp, 1.6 8v, Group 7 Insurance
    (some early mark2's have 90bhp)

    VTS (mark1&2) 120bhp, 1.6 16v, Group 14 Insurance

Depends what you want mate VTS is more faster but then again you will folk out loads on insurance compared to vtr..

The Most obvious difference between a mark 1 and 2 for any saxo are the headlights.. mark 1's are more rectangled shaped and mark 2 are curved

i dont understand how you insurance groups work...
in croatia, we divide insurance group by power of the engine (kW), from 22 till 110. 110 is around 300 quid, just insurance, but we have to pay some to the country...

    110 and above, that is
  9. #9
Yes, insurance is different in Europe..
I think Fred said something about adding a turbo, and would not have to pay anything extra on insurance!!

Here: The higher the insurance group, the bigger the cost of the insurance premium per year.
Ie: Bigger engine cars, more valuable cars tend to be placed in a higher insurance group than other cars.

To be honest, if you're over 21 then insurance won't be as bad as you think for a vts if you shop around. If you can afford it then get a vts.

Our insurance is based upon one factor..... ripping us off!

They list the cars in groups depending on as Al said, performance, risk of theft, etc. Then factors such as your driving history, area where you live, what work you do, etc. Then they add it all together, multiple by several hundred then laugh as they tell us how much it is!
