funny rattle at high revs

   Was on some private land the other night and did a wheelspin or two or three.... anyway....
   
   there was a rather concerning rattle comming from the front of the car.
   
   I then noticed this again today whilst drive in third at very high revs whilst thrashing round country lanes with window open...
   
   any ideas?

   I get a rattle too mate. I have got a vtr, sounds like its coming from the front under the engine somewhere. I have been under the car and had a look but i cannot locate where it is coming from.

   Could be engine internals..

   Heat Shield under the car possibly loose.

   One of my heatshields is rattling like a twat lately on tick over..lol

    Could be the CV joint, get under the front of the car and check the rubber gaiters on the drive shaft arent ripped.

    I get this as well when in above 4,000 revs
    im guessing its a heatshield or the handbrake cable cover

    i had the same, mine was the heatshield on the manifold.

    if you say you was wheelspinning check the driveshafts... i done it to mine only mine snapped clean off...

    If it does it whilst stationary and revving the car it will more than likely be a heatshield loose or the baffle in your exhaust has gone. Like mine

    i found my heat shield on top of manifold was loose that rattled soo bad lol, soo another thing to check for ya

    check any sheilds and have a look at bolts the gear box and engine mounts can come loose when wheel spinning due to vibrations
    also is it metalic of just a juder or what slow fast? could be piston slap!! do u rag when cold?
