    right how much gain do u reckon id get from wacking heyabusa throttle bodies onto my vtr? bout 100bhp

    i hope you dont mean 100hp gain?

    on standard cams i doubt you would even gain any power. you may gain some at high revs but lower down will suffer.

    throttle bodies and changing the cam and stand alone should see 140ish?

    thats what someone i know is hitting in a S2 Rallye.

    146bhp last time i knew. torque was quite tasty though.

    getting a cam for crimbo so i may invest in throttle bodies could be interesting are they hard to fit any1 know?

    need a custom manifold. you'll also need a standalone ecu. then get the bodies balance and get the car mapped. throttle cable will also need a bit jigary pokery.

    there was a lad called Craig on her with a 106 gti with TB's and he was doing 152bhp at the wheels. he said he has spent about 6k on the enigine

    says in french car if u get r6 throttle bodys they will work on stardard ecu. r1 bodys are to big

    Tbh unless you are getting a seriously wild cam there isn't really any need for TB's except for the noise..

    Its alot of money to get them and to have them setup properly, will also kill fuel economy..

    LOL There is some confusion here.

    Weber and Delorto both do carbs that do fit. I know I have used both. Incidentally the AX sport even came with Solex carbs that are basicly the same size and shape as the Weber DCOE. Though you are much better using something such as a Weber IDF on a RHD car. Here is a photo of a stock AX sport.

    Now bike bodies. No fuel injection bodies of any bike will just bolt on and work with stock ECU. That is correct none. You can bolt some bike carbs on and get them setup to work. But it is in no way ideal. But that is carbs and not throttle bodies.

    if your guna try and be cockey mate, think about what you write. you said throttle bodies in your first post then the mag says carbs. you need to go buy some mroe mags and learn about the differences

    LOL I think it may be the opposite williamsvts. I just think mags tend to be full of as much confusion as forums. Or more even as there is no one there to disagree. Its like that magazine that said the standard internals of the TU engine will not cope with over 7000rpm. When in standard trim many of them do more than that lol. Best to just go work on the car and see what you end up with. Thats why a trust people like longman and GMC as they have tuned these engines for many many years and they really do know a lot about them. Its not just general tuning know how but rather knowing the ins and outs and all the eccentricities of the TU engine.
