    hi there.
just recently got a peco exhaust system on my saxo and have been told that the cat is in the manifold?
Would this me to decat the car i'd need to get a new manifold?
    how much and where from?
also would this effect the MOT?
    cheers jk

    Yes it would.

Yes, it will fail the MOT if you don't have a cat.

as above mate it would fail the MOT on the emissions test. if you get a manifold from KAM Racing then you need to change the oil filter to a mk1 one and block the oil return valve. you might be better getting a manifold made for a mk2 so its just a straight swap

so when you say "you might be better getting a manifold made for a mk2 so its just a straight swap" you mean that it will still have the cat in? no performance increase? cheers

No, it won't have it in... It means it's less hassle to put on and change everything basically...

    Exactly...

If you take the CAT away your gona fail MOT.

So you just have to chop and change between the 2.

you could always buy a cat for under the car, makes it easier than removing the manifold all the time, just swap the front pipe with cat and its dont
