Lowering the saxo

  1. #1
Spent the best part of my weekend setting up the suspension on my new vtr,
i bought the jamex coilover kit and had the torsion bar slammed at the local garage..

the front seams to bottom out on every single little bump..

even feels like i could roll over a stone and it would bottom out

any idea why this could be doing it...???

its on its lowest setting of 30mm and still seams to do it! is there any fitting quides on the internet, just to help out and see where i may have gone wrong!

any one else bought the kit and had similar problems???

oh fair enough, give it a go yourself theres some decent guides on the internet, dont think the garage would charge a mental amount though!

i see your buying the 40mm springs?? how much you going on the back??

i have jus lowered mine 35 mm front and back no problems what so ever, it does say when fittin you have to cut the bump stops down i didn't and still no problems so no idea why its grounding out

yea ive lowered mine 35 on the front and ive had no problems. must have done something wrong... mite be the dampers ?

shouldn't do that mate must be something wrong or could not be lowered 30mm.

hmm, im thinking just taking the coilovers out and just replacing 60mm springs on standard shocks... waste of money but no point wrecking the car aye

erm...... do you get fitting instructions?

if so how can it be fitted wrongly?
