i bought my saxo vtr and it was already remapped should i get a rr done if so why
  2. #2
You can get one done and see if your car really was mapped if you like.
  3. #3
get one done to see what power your pushing and to see if it's running right.

You should get one done if you wish to know what power your saxo is pushing.

cheers for the info. think i am just gonna sell it and get a vts
  6. #6
Get it on a rolling road whatever u do. Even if your selling it you'll need to know for definite if its been mapped and if anything else has been done simply because you can't sell it as standard if it has.

do you know anywhere in nottingham ,and whats it gonna cost
  8. #8
    duno anywhere near you...

but i know a place in by me thats charges £50 a run. so thats a idea of price for you

cheers for the info, sorting it out

does any 1 no what sort of power you get out of remapping a saxo vtr 2003?
  11. #11
think you can get about 9-10bhp extra from mapping a standard engine, thats what celtic + angel tuning claim anyway

99% of people on here will tell you to do the full breather mods first (induction kit, exhaust etc), then get uprated cams + get a map done last so the cams run correctly
  12. #12
depends on the mods it has.

and theres a list of Rolling roads either in the sticky or FAQ here.
  13. #13
well im looking into straight through race exhaust and induction kit maybe more in time
  14. #14
if you want to have it mapped but dont want to cam it i'd at least do the exhaust system etc first inc induction kit
  15. #15
would caming it make much different ??
  16. #16
    erm alot of difference.
  17. #17
if you use the right cam

exactly what i was going to say, if you want one done go get it. regardless if it has had a remap, if its had a remap for no reason there wont be much point but if it has been cammed yes.

also its £30 up here for a rr. if its cammed it should be able to keep up with a standard vts depending on drivers etc so waste of time selling it to get a vts unless your going to cam the VTS.

and gauging from your posts i highly doubt you will be doing that.

my car was 120bhp, and i have gain 15bhp, from a full milltek exhaust system, and a viper inductionkit, i have been told that this is quite reasonable, seems the car is 7 years old, it may of lost a few bhp, so ive gained in total a minium of 15bhp!!

and a remap, i have been told i would hit 150 break easy, and that 15bhp, from a remap, which cost £300

    hope this helps

150bhp on breathing mods and a remap LOL!

ive yet to see a std cam engine do that

who told you that is talking bollocks, no way you can see 150 with out cams incld in your list mate

You'll be needing some Cams if you wana hit 150bhp mate.

will never reach it on breathing mods!
