how to change the gear knob

   i don't know and i don't have an idea how to change the gear know so please help me and tell me how can it be done!!!

   As Scott would say : " Stick it in Fourth gear, leg either side, then yank it upwards and careful you dont end up going through the sunroof"....

   I just did mine, the above suggestions didnt work for me lol, tis a mk1 saxo, ended up having to cut the whole plastick knob off with a stanley knife.
   
   Just take it steady and watch the actual shaft so you don't scratch it. Took my about 30 mins to get through, but then i was being EXTREMELY carefull

   I twisted mine off, because it can only fit one way9as in you are not supposed to be able to twist) it was quite easy! you still have to use a lot of force but as soon as it clicks out of place you can slide it up and out...

   honestly...just keep pulling until it comes off!
   it will come off eventually!
   
   you then need the black bit that is up the inside of the gear knob you just took off. It is glued in with extremely strong glue so i got a hammer and smashed the old (yellow) gear knob!
