Hi ppl dunno if you could help me out? i own a citroen saxo vtr on an Xreg and ive bought a set of 17'' wolfrace rush alloy wheels which i should recieve wednesday, ive been told that it can be tight to fit and that i may have to take out the arch plastics. as i dont know much on cars is this an easy thing to do? if so how is this done?

im running on standard suspension at the moment and will be for a while as christmas coming up.

    thanks

there`s quite a few things you will have to do. remove arch liners front/back. your wheels will rub on the front at full lock , so you will have to knock the side wall where the engine is in a few mm. just do with a hammer. for the back you will have to remove the rear bumper bracket / remove the small black box at the back off the rear wheels. you will see it when you remove the inner arch. you will have to cut a few bits here and there at the back. you won`t get it right first time. took me a week to perfect. hope this helps some

thanks for that, i will try all of that. by removing the plasic arch bits, this doesnt alloy water to get in the engine in anyway does it?

    thanks for your help.

nah mate , ive not had any bother with mines. if you remove the box at the back of the rear wheels you will be left with a hole. you need to knock that back also then seal the rest off the hole up with something. i used builders expanding foam. does the trick

or get the arches rolled by a garage which might cost you around £90 but it is professional? up to you mate just a suggestion (personally i would get a garage to roll the arches)

I've been told that you can fit 17's with no archwork required. Just need a set of spacers

not a chance 16's rub unlowered

the best place to have arch work done proffesionally is at R-TEC they are awsome think they charge £130 to sort your arches out for 17"

well fitted the alloys and they fitted piece of cake, only had to remove the inner plastic arch on the front, but back fitted withont a problem.

only trouble is i drove 2mile down the road and some young girl who had only passed 3days ago pulled straight out on me and done me drivers side wing in, so now awaiting to see if its a rite off or repairable, lucky enough shes insured.

thanks for all ya help tho guys.
