Air Fuel Ratio Gauges. Opinions/experiences

  1. #1
    Evening/Morning folks.

Been thinking about getting an AFR gauge for a while now, mostly for the debugging factor but iv had a few funny experiences int he past year with power loss, the odd lumpy idle etc.

Anyway... I was thinking about either of these 2 gauges but i cant really decide which to go for...

Anyone used one of these, or another gauge from the 2 ranges involved? I think i prefer the look of the 2nd style but chances of it all getting wired up n positioned nicely in the car is slim cus im really lazy like that

So, opinions, experiences etc people. Am i just wasting my time with one of these?

    Cheers

On looks alone, i'd go for the 2nd

id also have the second one as it looks more pro..

i have the 1st one and the 2nd you will find less distracting

although you need a wide band lamba to actually get them to work properly

The word for optimum fuel air mix lol... Who invented it, no idea. If it was me id have called that point Euphoria or Nirvana lol, much better.

Cheers for the opinions so far guys, can anyone confirm if i'll need a wideband to run this?

2nd one looks way better imo.

    you will need a wideband.

Just a quick note. If you are running a Raceland manifold then the positioning of the lambda sensor means they kill wideband ones

For quick reference go for an analogue gauge everytime. IF you want to look like Knight Rider then go digital

Ack cheers Kam, well i dont have a wideband & i do have a raceland

How much would a wideband be? Also where is the best place for it to plug in?

+ the first one has german words on it like Stoich.

Kam, is the supersprint 4-2-1 lambda positioning good for wideband?
