206 gti 180 (283mm) fitting.

looking at getting a set of 283 gti callipers/discs/pads for my vtr. i already have 16'' wheels and have been told these are a straight fit?

anybody have any experience with them? any tips for fitting?

its as easy as changing standard size for stanard size or at least should be

jsut make sure when you do fit the kit to do the whole thing at once eg new calipers (personaly id refurb them and spray them to match car colour) discs pads and bradied hoses are a must

dont no if you plan to but also waking some dot 5.1 is surposed to be usful its not dot 5 jelly shit its track use higher boiling point fulid

EDIT: they should fit under 16's snuggly jsut check the size of the caliper thats where you might come unstuck.

i fitted this set up about 5 weeks ago. managed to get new calipers and carriers off ebay for 75 quid. new oe pug gti 180 discs and a set of mintex m1144 pads. already had braided hoses. took my time and fitted them in about 4 hours. also fitted a 406 non abs master cylinder. them used dot 4 fluid. all i can say is that they are very very good.
