Hi, i bought a decat pipe off ebay, the lister said it would fit Saxos up to 2000 (presumably Mk 1 cars). My car was registered in 2000 so i assumed it would be a Mk 1 but the decat pipe is 6" too short. How do i know if my car is a Mk 1 or a Mk 2 car. If it is a Mk 2, can i still get a decat pipe for it? Emma

so yes your is def a mark 2

#12It's a mk2 as said and the decat should fit. 2001 is the cross over to the new engine and the decat in later mk2's are in the manifold. Yours being an early mk2 like my own has the cat underneath the car

#13The decat is 6" too short?
Hmm, it should fit regardless of what Mk saxo it is. I have had a Mk1 decat pipe on my Mk2 as it was needed to make a Mk1 exhaust fit my car. It obviously did not decat my car though.
Afaik, X-reg was the first of the 3-plug, CAT in manifold VTRs. -
