TB's and Turboing

Has anyone turbo'd their TB'd car?

I've seen it on other cars but never seen a VTr/VTS on TB's and supercharged or turbo'd.

How does it work. As far as I can workout its a set of Jenveys or similar with the form of forced induction feeding the TB's through a sealed plenum chamber. How much power extra would the TB's Provide over a normal low compression VTs Turbo conversion?

I know I'll never do it but I was just thinking about it.

Virtually nothing, Sybez has done it and TBs don't really help, you're stuffing the air in under presure anyway so it won't help them breath any better.

He's going back to a single TB now IIRC

TB often run lary cams that are not suited to forced induction, too much blow through!

Ahhh right, I know of a lad who i running Bike Tbs and a Supercharger on his Hillman imp. Thought it might be an interesting conversion. But if its not worth it whats the point. A lot more money as well int it.

i think you need roller barrel throttle bodies to do this,

mostly seen on cossies, will be good because the have almost instant response

your much better off having a bigger plenuem made up and just fitting one larger TB.

it seems a shame to have TBs in a sealed box, hides the awesome sound lol

i have heard of people having trouble using multiple TBs or turbo and supercharged cars.

i have looked into it myself and the bigger single TB, seems to be the way forward

theres no real point - you will have as good gains making a custom inlet plenium; being feed via a large single throttlebody. You wont have that instant response as you have a turbo spooling up.

There are a few cars that run tb's and turbo as standard, notably the Nissan Sunny GtiR but they havent been significantly better than single tb turboed cars.

only snapped belts cause of miss alignment and to much tension, and using a toothed belt.

only problem about using throttle bodies its its very snatchy at low revs,

Still yet to see it run properly.

Last 3 times i have seen it yet to see him give it some
