   looking to buy another car but the guy has dented the sump so the car is making a loud tappidy sound now. they said it could be that the engine not picking up enough oil or the oil pick is f*****!!! Is this a big job or what? should i bother or not

   106 gti was 1500 but now 700, it also has smashed front bumper, and bent wishbone and couple other bits that im not worried about,maintly the sump problem

   with sump, is it just the case of swapping it over? how hard is it to get 1? and at what cost?

   if there is oil starvation and the engine is being run its more than likely going to need a new engine.

   a fool and his money can be parted very easy! sounds to cheep. if you can get it for 500 then its a bargain all day long. new engine and your lookin all in all 1000 max. thats mint for a 106 gti

    oil pumps are quite expensive, could be loads of things though, not just the oil pick up!
