I've noticed when i stop and leave the car for a bit theres a puddle underneath the car. it looks to be coming from the gearbox area. i've noticed it is very jolty when pulling away and changing gears too. any one have any ideas?

Are they easy to replace. I have recently replaced the driveshaft and the lower arm but didn't replace the seal. Will this mean new clutch aswell as the oil has leaked out?

that looks like a crankshaft oil seal behind the clutch

correct.
If youre not sure, smell the oil. If it smells like engine oil, its the crank seal. If it smells like a mix of bubblegum and cat piss (depends how old the oil is) then its box oil, and hence the input shaft seal.

well i had a look around the driveshaft and its not coming from there. the fluid was clear and didnt smell of anything. its really strange, but its absolutely pissing out now! left work and there was a pudle a good 4 inches round!!! think i'm gonna have to go to see mr clutch
If it was clearish and quite watery then theres a good chance its gearbox oil. When the driveshaft was changed, they might have damaged the seal putting it back in?
The image it looks pretty black though like engine oil?

by looking at your pic it looks like the input shaft oil seal, this is quite common, sometimes the front gearbox bearing loses its plastic cage, this can result in clutch judder as the bearing does not turn true, and the input shaft turns ecentric and damages the seal hope this helps, been repairing transmissions for many years, just ask if you need more advise cazer

well the fluid is clear and very very watery. the doesn't seem to be any oil around the driveshaft all all, its further along. beats me
