how do i fit a beeee sting?

    as above really taken the old aerial off took me a fair while of pulling got there in the end but abit stuck now ...all i can see is a bolt coming out the top and my bee sting aerial has to be screwed on im spun anyone help thanks....

    have you unscrewed the bolt which is where the interior light is hiding it?

    im sorry is it just me who is confused.... just unscrew an ariel and fit a new one no?

    yep thats how you get it off, but there is a bolt when you take the interior light out which unscrews the aerial.

    You shouldn't have to remove the base. Just unscrew the mast, then screw the new one on over the thread.
    If the threads don't match, sounds like you've bought the wrong aerial.

    100% wrong ariel mate. i bought a chrome bee sting a week ago, unscrewed the auld one. And screwed the new one on. The new one will come with adapters to fit ure car.

    yeh, most bee sting arials come with 3 adapters to fit your car. mine was the largest of the three.

    ...looks like it is mate ...not that simple tuggin and pulling then it will come off but i have a bolt that sticks out the top and the new one doenst just simply screw on....even if it did there would be a gap between the aerial and where it is attached ..weird.....

    If you've just ripped the old mast off, its possible that you've got the old thread left screwed into the base. Try and unscrew it with pliars or mole grips and the new aerial should then go on. Be careful not to knacker the thread though. If it is seized, you may need a new base. They are only a few ££££
