torsion bars seem impossible to take off. ne tips or advice on how to loosen up the c#!*s?

#2hmmm not quite sure how to do it m8 if you have a look at some of the tutorials or old threads on here it may say what to do if its stuck
mine came straight out but my rear axle etc is of a 52 reg mk2 -

i always said if mine was stuck id get a garage to do it.... -
#5lots of wd40 absolutly soak it, go out and soak it now so it can work over night, try a hammer,

#9i had the same problem and mines an 03 plate i soakes it in penetrating oil repeatedly and used a slide hammer took about an hour to get it out. dont use a blow torch as this will change the tempering of the metal and affect the handling

#10as said above heating suspension componants can weaken them too.

mines a 52 and took just under an hour to loosen. Well worth the effort thou.
