oil change?

   how often do i need to do an oil change?

   i used to change every 3k miles which to be honest is excessive but made for a decent saturday morning job. Book will say 10k miles or there abouts which should be fine really but 7k would keep me happier

   Yep that sounds about right. I do mine every 5-7K. Also don't forget to change the filter occasionally. nothing worse than a choked filter.

   oil and filter change every 8 months or 8k miles whichever is sooner

   thanks scott was getting abit worried when i should do the oil change will do it when i've done 7k or 10k.

   ure best bet is to change the filter when you change the oil. so evry 8K ish.

   cool my service ain't due for 6,900 or 7,000 so i will be fine will get it all changed in the service

   good choice min. u never think about doing the servicing part ureself? Its a great thing to do if ure bored!

    my friend changes his plus and oil and oil filter every month in his vti civic.i tell him hes mad but wont listen

    Every month?!? tell him hes mad from me!!
    must be spendin 30-40 buk or more a month on oil! christ!

    lol like my crf oil change every 3-4 rides, pain in the nuts.

    thats crazy that is, should be every 7k to 10k not every month.

    I oil changed it every 6000 miles mate.

    New Oil
    Oil filter
    Fuel filter
    Coolant
    any other little things you need like spark plugs and brake fluid etc
    
    Buy everything seperate and pop down to a garage if you arent confident mate
