s2 rallye gearbox???

   what will these be like if i was to mate it to a vts engine, with work ie. cams followers, skimmed ported, polished and gas flowed head, chipped, forced filter etc etc???
   
   what would it be like economically and what would it be like driving ie. would it be good for acceleration and power to ratio wise etc etc

   The S2 Rallye box isn't a million miles away from the VTS box. You won't notice any major differences. A slightly higher final drive that's about it. So the car would be less economical for road use.

   It worked well with my setup! Only slightly shorter than the vts box tho mind!!

   its a case of justifying the minor change over cost. If its a straight swap then
   cant see the harm in trying?

   think you'd be better with a XSi box..
   
   or if you don't to many high speed mileage.
   
   S1 box.

   no its just a guy locally is selling a few parts and a s2 rallye box is among them and he is only looking £150 like!

   Low miles/good condition? bag it if you feel like it. As toad says, not a massive difference, but be a bit zippier through the gears.
