powerflow exhausts

   Hi. Can anyone tell me for definite that if i get a powerflow exhaust, with a de-cat pipe, will it fail the m.o.t? Ive herd in some cases hasent failed.
   
   Another question,are powerflow beter than all of the other exhausts available at the mo for power gains?
   
   What do they to the exhaust, to make it sound how you like?

   having a decat pipe will fail an mot, unless you know the mot tester !
   
   Powerflow are by far not the the best for power gains, just good for noise and a bit of power. GMC btb is prob the best for power gains on a modded engine.
   
   To alter the sound, a powerflow licenced seller/fitter will alter the size of the silencers and/or baffles to limit or increase noise.

   its not illegal to not have a cat, its illegal to fail the emissions test. A very well looked after car with regular servicing may pass an emissions test without the cat but its unlikely it will, as alex says friendly mot time
