Red VTR Alloys!!

   Hey im currently refurbing my alloys,basically im skint so im only doing one at a time!! sanded,filled,priming tomorrow so now i have the question of what colour!! my vtr is gold and i know black is nice with gold but thats what everyone does im thinking red??
   
   anyoe got any other ideas? well if it looks shite ill just have to re do it!!

   Red will look gash mate! Not sure what other colours to suggest, other than black or the standard colour like... Maybe anthracite to get the best of both worlds?

   i think red would look odd on a gold motor. get a picture up off your car and put a thread up in photoshop. get someone to put diffrent colour wheels on your car so you can get idea`s off how it would look.

   yeah ill get someone to photo shop it,i just dont want to be the same as everyother vtr either has black or white or standard......how do i actually get a picture onto a post?

    Register at www.photobucket.com, then upload your image and cut and paste the [img] tag and voila! Your photo will be in your post

    Anyone ever done gold on gold? But i think gloss black is the way forward!

    i know u dnt want to b the same as every1 else but i really wouldnt go for red! i like the sound of athracite tbh

    athracite would look good. Red only really look good on black cars. Which is what I might do if I get a black VTR.

    nice1 mate can get a good look at the red now,and yeah well im taking everyones advice and im either doing them gloss black,or anthracite!! ive started preparing them but ill finish them completely over christmas and get some pics up,will be lowered 40mm and colour coded all round by then aswel so it should look pretty good!!

    I actually think those red vtr wheels look quite smart. Would only get away with them on silver, white or black saxos

    A yellow 106 GTi at FCS last year had red (VTS) wheels. Looked "ok".
    
    Can't find any pics of it atm

    Yes that's the one. I put the "VTS" part in brackets because when writing the post, I couldn't remember what wheels she had on it.

    206 xsi wheels, they don't look to bad would prefer them in black or white.

    tht gti is nice but black or anthracite ftw! i have just finished the first alloy and i opted for metalic black,looks smart! although im driving round with the spare so the vtr looks like a tramp atm haha ill get pics up of the car in about a week when they are all done! saxo180-did you have your alloys proffesionally done looks quality? i just hope when i get my tyres changed they wont be to heavy handed and scratch the paint off

    I had mine stripped down, refurbed (used to be on tara180's car) and powder coated.
    
    I had to pay the tyre company DOUBLE to fit the tyres without scratching the wheels.
    
    They said it couldn't be done but a cash incentive soon made sure it could be done!!!
