VTS engine Mods?

Just enquiring what i can do to add BHP?

My insurance that i am taking out allows me to do engine mods but i can not exceed 150BHP

So i was just wondering what i could get away with without going over, was going to get an induction kit and a straigh through exhaust but else can i do to get that little extra

Cheers for you help guys n girls

Should be in the engine section matey, but to give you an idea:

Exhaust (I have a magnex system for sale), manifold, decent air intake, cams and remap put my car at 152 bhp. Not sure how they would test tbh if you did need to make a claim. You could always ask the remapper to map it to 150bhp to be on the safe side.

Personally though I would concentrate on the brakes and suspension first. Get that done and you will piss off a lot of more powerful cars around the twisties

Sorry for getting it in the wrong section!

    Im tingling with anticipation

i would sort out the suspension and braking first.

    set of konis, spax etc

206 gti or gti180 brake setup

    manifold
    enclosed filter (green cotton)
    de-cat
ABP motorsport single box magnex system
then possibly a set of cams with a re-map,

basically the same as saxo180 said lol

If you need advice on any engine/suspension etc Kamracing knows his shiz.

There's normally someone on the brakes/suspension forum that can point you in the right direction as well. Same goes for Engine/performance

how would they even know if you went over 150BHP?

get a set off 206 gti brakes from a scrappy, you only need the calipers, the get a new set of discs and pads for a 206gti.

they are much bigger and a hell of a lot better.

they fit behind 14" vtr rims and just fit in place of the vtr caliper without any mods.

the 206 gti 180 brakes are even bigger than the 206 gti setup, these are unreal!
mine fit no probs without any mods, they fit behind standard 15" rims but not behind vtr rims.
they are shit hot brakes, they are the same size as the 306gti6 setup, but the gti6 setup normally needs a tad grinding off the caliper to fit the strut

go to kam racing. if ur on a budget get the raceland incutrion kit, raceland 4-2-1 manifold and a supersprint exhaust system. with members discount you wikll have that lot for about 400quid. and ur looking easily 15bhp from alll that
