Hi, i'm new to all this modding stuff and was just wondering how much extra BHP would i get from installing a K&N 57i Gen II induction kit to my standard VTS?

I got a K&N filter on my 1.2 Corsa! it made it louder, bit more throat and gave me another 5mph in each gear, if that gives you any guidelines?

if its an open filter it wont do jack, it'll reduce bhp if anything as it just sucks in hot air from the engine bay.

best thing to do is get a raceland scoop with a green filter from kam-racing, you wont get better for the price. with that you get a quality element with a bigger scoop then green supply themselves for around £80 less than a green

You won't get 5mph per gear from an air filter, you'd need a different box or raised rev limit to do that!

standard air box with decent green panel filter ftw, i have a bmc and think its sluggish compared to standard intake.

im indeed tempting to keep my standard box to...

Even with my cams and the mods and a remap i might still kill my standard box and a different air filter

    You the same?

my car does that noise as standard (not so much now but does if not been floored for a while), before exhausts etc. Few of my mates C2 VTS do it aswel.

BMC is renouned for not making a noise from standard if you have a search.
