Bucket Seat Fitting Problems - Pics

    Hey all

I'm Lee, Lorries partner, posting this on behalf of her so it will make sense! Sorry to have to make a new thread, but I should probably explain the problem better.

Purchased Cobra seat frames and Cobra seats.. second hand. Seats were in a 205 GTi.. and the frames I bought from Pat_Man_VTS, he had them in his Saxo.

I've fitted the seats, went straight in, 5 min job.. but they are way too high... its undrivable and my legs are right tight against the steering wheel.

    Pics.

The Tilting Cobra frames.. I have tiltiing frames because I was going to get buckets, but I got recliners instead.

My legs jammed up against the steering wheel.. in the position where I can fully de-press the clutch pedal..

To show distance relative.. My little Nokia E65 placed between the seat and the steering wheel and touches.. about 100mm clearance.. thats all.. compared to alot lot more with the standard Saxo seats.

Help please.. I dont know anyone with a Cobra Clubman or similar that I can trial fit to see whether changing the seat will sort the problem, or whether its a case of modifying the very expensive tailored subframes.

    Thanks

Not really sure about that mate. Its an odd one!

I take it you have tried sliding the seat into different positions...

My corbeau forza can be a tight squeeze, but only when the seat is too far forward. How tall are you?

Not sure if you could get the subframe modified to allow the seat to go a bit lower...

I'm about 6'.. my head is against the roof lining.. its a really awkward position with the seat higher.. i have to push down onto the pedals.. instead of being able to push them forward as you would if you were lower.
