have just been looking on strutbracer and its 50 quid for an upper or on their ebay site its 70 quid for an upper and lower special pack.

now my car is lowered approx 50mm all round, am i going to struggle with a lower brace??

heres a pic to maybe help you:

i'd say you should be ok, as long as you dont go speeding over the speed bumps.

i'm down 40mm and have never caught my lower brace yet, and with an upper strut they make a good improvement.

forget going anywhere near 10mph over speed bumps i caught mine loads when i was 40mm in fact i bent it....... depends on your driving style and if you have a designated sunday drive through the country

if dont drive like a god you will be fine. doubt get over curbs mine use to just hit them.

yeah i go less then 10 mph over speed bumps anyways, normally in first - oh and i dont go on kerbs so should be ok there!

should be fine aslong as you go slowly over speedbumps, i'm down 50mm mine only catch every now and then.

whats it like when you catch it? just a scrape noise? does it do any damage to the brace or arms?

only catch mine now and again. Did catch a dead squirel in the middle of the road the otherday only because he had his feet in the air.

how does this relate to the thread?

my cars lowered 60mm front and approx 70/80mm back. I had to take my lower strut off as even humps in the road it would catch on!

I had it on there before i lowered thought i may as well test to see how bad it would be. It did make a noticable difference with it on tho so id say go for it!

go for a lower for just over £20 you can't go wrong even if it does take a few knocks

    noticed the difference already

oh rite ok thats fair enough. i guess the only way ill find out is by putting one on and see how it goes. could always sell it if theirs a problem!

You have to be well carful mate with a lower strut brace. Especially in areas
    you dont know.

I caught mine really badly in the morning of FCS07. Couldnt be helped as
cars were behind me and the bump was massive!
Ive hit mine a couple times and its nasty.

50mm you should be okay if your really careful 24/7, but most times as soon
    as
you forget you end up driving down with a rock bouncing off it

so even if it were caught a little bit off a bump or rock, its not gonna pull the arms off or anything like that?! or is it me just worrying a little bit too much!

Sorry mate your not right there, upper braces transform the handling in all aspects. However this is only right when there correctly adjusted!
