ANy one got HID's?

   Any one got H I D's on aftermarket headlights??
   
   Have heard possibly melting could occur?
   
   Got both smoked headlights and Angels sitting in the gargae, and step dad got me some H I D's fro X mas but wasnt sure on melting!
   
   BTW got 8000k if that helps any1??

   i have the 8000k, you cant use angel eyes with them, as they are plasted on the front, so that will melt, but standard lights are glass on the front, so wont melt so you can still use them

   So the standard smokesd ones will be ok?
   
   Twas hoping the angel eyes would be ok coz will look better through the projector rather than reflecteD?
   
   Any thing i can do to the angels to stop melting?

   noop, not unless you find some where the front is glass and not plastic, i did same, bought angel eyes, then a HID kit before fittin the angel eyes
   
   got here and got told they cant be used together sadly
   
   thats why my angel eyes are for sale now.
   
   but unless you find any other headlights with glass fronts, its gota be standards im afraid bud

   do u mean the outer lense will melt or the surround around the angel eyes>
   
   Surely if its the out lense i could swap the glass from the standards on to the angels! I Saw a Saxo in Farnborough with angels and HID but he musnt know that hes about to melt or he's got it sorted out??

   lense the clear bit on the front needs to be glass

   so if i swapped the front lenses, i could then use the angels?
   
   The black around the angels wont melt!?

   yeh maybe, apart from the angel eyes are H1 bulbs, and im guessin your HID kit is H4?

   I read somehwere the lenses on the angels and stds arent fitted to the light the same so theyre different shapes, and wont fit

    the angles will be moulded on, and the glass is clipped on the stds i think, thats how they are on the mk ones
