Possible to mix 'n' match springs & shocks?

Just wondering if it possible to mix brands of springs and shocks.

Im set on buying the Eibach sportline springs but cant afford the bilstein shocks that people recommend, so was wondering if SPAX shocks would be good enough? or an improvement over standard?

    any help appreciated
    cheers

i would go with konis mate, but that is a personal preference as i've had no dealings with spax.

you can mix and match brands yes no problem, i just prefer with 90% of road users to keep a matched spring/shock combination.

ok so you would prefer to keep a setup such as SPAX springs and shocks? (which for me is affordable at minute) rather than sportline springs matched with SPAX shocks?

or would you suggest sportline springs and good shocks in the future? such as bilstein.

the reason i suggest it for most road users, is that they are not trying to find specifics for handling, myself id mix but because id want different spring rates etc...but id only do that on my track car.

the reason i say keep the same on 90% of road users are because they want simply a car thats lower and handles a bit better, so i prefer to have a matched spring/damper combo as theyre designed to work together for a decent amount of time.

its not the best option but the most sensible.
